Going into hospital? Owing to the requirements of the Data Protection Act the Diocese reminds parishioners that if they are admitted to hospital as patients they should make sure that the hospital staff record their religion and note their explicit request that the Chaplaincy Team and Roman Catholic Chaplain be informed. Those responsible for children or for those who are unconscious when admitted to hospital should do likewise.
